Working Principles
- No venue will be more than 15 km from Shellbrook. One exception only would be made for Nisse Foundry.
- Each participating artist will do at least one demonstration per day.
- There will be a maximum of 4 venues with any specific medium in order to not be repetitious.
- We will support business in our town by listing places to stay and eat. We will submit printing of our brochures to the local paper.
- We will invite guest artists. This will allow those over the 15 km radius to participate and it will also give the viewing public an extra interest.
- All host venue members must share in the jobs required to be done.
- Before a new venue is approved, 2 existing tour members will verify that the site is tour appropriate.
- The work of all new artists to the tour must be reviewed by at least 3 current artists, unless the new artist has been juried by a recognized provincial body.
- Guest artists may contribute ideas through their host venue artists, but they do not have a vote on changes.
- Each host site will post sufficient direction signs to make it easy for those out of area to travel the route.
- We will have a small private coffee tour of venues prior to the tour date so we see each other's work.
- The tour will 'kick-off' Friday evening with the Prince Albert Pipe Band calling forth the flames of a pottery pit fire at Riverview Arts.
- Non-major decisions may be made by executive without consultation of the group.
